Once you step into the world of ultramarathons (an ultramarathon is any run longer than 26.2 miles), the rules change.
You’re running for mind-bending, hallucination-inducing distances. Races become more about simply getting to the end rather than worrying about speed or performance.
More and more, ultras are less about one continuous run – but involve crazy challenges like the 4x4x48 challenge.
And it’s addictive. Running ultras is where I found my passion – the feeling of going out and covering epic distances on foot, pushing your personal boundaries is something simply unforgettable.
